Wotaso Ring Sizer AI Transparency Notice
Current free-release disclosure. Effective 10 August 2026.

Shopper sizing in the current release
The storefront sizing flow does not use generative AI or an external AI provider. It uses shopper-controlled on-screen calibration, fixed ring-size conversion tables, and deterministic product-matching rules. No shopper-facing chatbot or other AI interaction is part of this release.
- No camera or image upload is requested, and no face, voice, emotion, or biometric analysis is performed.
- The app does not create deepfakes, biometric categories, social scores, or automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
- A size is not silently chosen by a model. Only an exact available match from the existing-ring flow may be handed to the storefront; other results remain guidance for the shopper.
Experimental merchant-admin catalog scan
The codebase contains an experimental model-assisted catalog suggestion scan for merchant administration. It is disabled in production, is not part of shopper sizing, and receives no storefront sizing data in the free release. Production startup fails if an environment setting attempts to enable it.
It may not be enabled until the operator has documented its intended purpose, AI Act role and classification, affected persons, provider and data flows, required notices and instructions, human oversight, logging and retention, accuracy and failure handling, contractual safeguards, data-protection assessment, security controls, and staff AI-literacy measures.
Generated marketing visuals and public content
Illustrative product and storefront visuals used on the public website may be AI-generated. They are presented as examples, not as real merchant storefronts, customer measurements, product photographs, or verified sizing outcomes. Social-preview metadata identifies the visual as AI-generated and illustrative.
Public landing-page, help, and legal text is reviewed and published under the editorial responsibility of Wotaso GmbH. No public-interest text is automatically published without human editorial review and responsibility.
Future changes
If a future release adds an AI system that interacts directly with shoppers or merchants, generates or manipulates content, or materially influences product decisions, the operator will reassess the applicable EU AI Act obligations before activation. Required information will be provided clearly and accessibly at the first interaction or exposure, rather than only in this notice.
Scope and contact
This notice documents the product's current technical and operational state; it is not a blanket certification of legal compliance. Questions or suspected discrepancies can be sent to contact@wotaso.com.
